4.6 O2 sensor
Hey Folks, first post on this site. Looks awesome! My son has a 97 F150 ext cab, 8' bed, 4 wheel drive p'up with the 4.6 engine. About 20'000 miles ago, he was told he needed a new engine. He bought that, it was installed, and it recently rattled to a stop at the local dealer. They couldn't believe he drove it there. Both front spark plugs were bent up due to (their story)carbon build-up. Now after he got the truck back, drove 7 miles, and the "Check Engine" light came on. Now they are saying the O2 Sensor is bad and it will cost 500 to replace that! Is that a typical cost for an O2 sensor!?
