Catalytic Converter

Any ideas on how to gut a cat?

remove from exhaust and a big heavy pry bar will do the trick

I need to keep the cat attached. I just want to increase exhaust flow....

he was trying to say remove the exhaust use the pry bar to beat the stuff in the converter into pieces and vacum the pieces/chunks out or blow them out with the vechile on rev up-push broken pieces out...hope i made sense

Or take it out, replace the cat with a chunk of pipe

i think he wanted to keep the outer shell of the converter im assuming for inspection reasons cowboy steve...

When you knock all of the "stuff" outta the cat send it to me. They were sealing cats around here cause they have platinum in them.

When i gutted mine on my chevy, i used a long wood boring bit. Worked great! Drill a bunch of holes with a wood boring bit (big long screw looking thing) and then with a large pry bar, nock it around alittle, then if its on the truck, and you got most the pieces out, let it open from there, and start and revv the truck, to blow out the rest of the gunk.
