I own a 1998 f150 Offroad (5.4) that I use to pull a 3200 lbs fishing boat and was interested in finding out what I could do to increase my highway towing power. I've heard a little about headers, kat-back exhausts, K&N air-systems and super-chips but I am not certain I need all of them. What gives me the best bang for the buck and what manufacturer would you recommend.
Even though its kinda expensive, it WILL give you the most bang for the buck...I would assume your axle ratio is 3:55, which is a good axle ratio, but 3:73 or 4:10 would give you the most bang!
Yes I do have the 3:55 Axle. What I am looking for is more snap when I am passing and would not like to reduce my gas mileage. The truck pulls just fine but, I thought I could try something that would'nt be a large modification but could help the truck perform its job. Other thoughts would be appreciated.
