Ford Nine Inch ???s
My 351w, 4 speed [3peed overdrive], long wheelbase E-150 came with a 3 to 1 rear end.
I later switched it to a 3.5 to 1.
Now that we live on a hill, the 3.5 to 1 seems too high.
And when I have the van loaded, I don’t use 4th gear on the the highway.
4 to 1 may be too low, 3 to 1 was way too high.
Note:
I am using the stock wheels and tires.
I have the stock 2 barel carb and are not using any other high performance parts.
What ratio should I use and which posi should I get?
Does anyone in the Portland area have an axle that they want to sell?
Does anyone know of a good rear end shop in the northwest?
