Talking Big tires?

I did a search, but didn't find anything. What is the biggest tire you would put on a stock truck like mine?(see my signature). No, I don't have a lift.I am looking to do some off-road trail riding. I am not opposed to a lift, but don't want to put a bunch of inches on it just for trail riding. As a diesel I'm not super interested in bogging because it will just sink. I also don't want to make the truck top heavy with height. I'm sure the IFS will rip apart before tire size gets too big, but humor me. Let's say, for the sake of conversation, fender constraints are not an issue. What do you think?

i had 33X12.5X16.5 tires on 9.75 inch rims on my 86, and they fit with no problems.
my 89 350 had 35X12.5X16.5 tires and had no problems until you compressed the suspension

On an F250, a 33 will fit nicely with everything stock and springs/shackles in good shape, 35's are a bit stuffed.
If you cut the wheelwell back to the body line, you should be able to do 38's without too much trouble... LOL

Those are 36's on there, and those rear springs sit about 6" lower than a set in good shape does(those look like W's.... LOL) Yes, the front isn't cut, and I still have room... That's what happens when you're putting together a no budget mud truck, and you have 6 3" body lift spacers laying around... LOL

My diesel, with 305/70R16's(33x12.50's)

one of the best trucks ive ever seen in the mud was a 7.3 with 38.5s....the mud couldn't slow the tires down.
