So your saying that powerstroked is lying. Why in the hell would he lie about somthing like this...... **** happens He blew a head gasket big deal aslong as ford replaced it Im happy for him.
O as for him getting 18 mpg Think about that long and hard before you question it.

For the record, I never said he is lying, I merely implied that he could be
As far as why would someone lie about that? I have no idea. I also have no idea why someone who needs a truck for his business, reportedly to the tune of something like 16,000 miles in 5 or 6 months time (all while being tied up at the dealership at least twice with cab removed for head gasket issues) would sail into uncharted territory and alter major emission system components with little knowledge of how it may effect the dependability and operation of said truck.
I do not claim he is lying, I will say however that the more I read of his adventures the more I feel like I was born in Missouri.
I for one know that he is real defensive of his 6.4 and he brags up a storm on it from time to time. The only thing I doubt is his claimed fuel mileage. he claims his is getting twice as much as others on here and he has the 4.88 gears. From what I see he says he is constantly towing and I would wonder when he has had time to run a full tank of fuel through without his trailer attached to provide true honest fuel mileage when empty and not racing the Chevy and Dodge guys that he claims to constantly be outrunning.
But then again he may have one of the ones that get great mileage, as we all have noticed some people get great mileage and the rest are wishing they had one that did.
Anything is possible so lets let him remain innocent until proven guilty....
Had truck appoximately 6 months or 180 days.
At least 5 days at dealer for cab off head gasket repairs, 175 days of use.
16,000 miles divide by 175 = 91 miles per day of use.
He sleeps, eats, personal needs, etc. 9 hours per day.
He has posted 500 times on FTE forum since 7-10-2007 for an average of 20 posts per day to waste another hour, leaving an average of 14 hours per day to drive truck.
91 divided by 14 is roughly an average of 6.5 miles driven every hour he is not eating, personal time, sleeping or posting on FTE. And we have not deducted any time for pursueing his other Interests:
Fishing, hunting, always ridin sleds with my buddies, ridin horses, workin on the farm
If that is not remarkable enough, his truck is the only one I have heard of that has not gone into regeneration hell after removing the DPF and he claims 18 mpg at 60 mph on his 4.88 geared F-450.
Yea, I suppose its all possible..........but like I said, I am from Missouri on this one.

That's too bad I would like to hear if he is experiencing any more problems with his 6.4 or if they all got ironed out. As with some other users you can read through the fluff and pull out some useful information regardless of their math skills...
How did that compare to your 06??? I am averaging 11.8 towing (9-13k), 13.8 town and 18Hwy with 8k on the ODO and every drop of fuel logged in a file...
