Dashbord problems
In my 99 EB EXPY the odometer does not light up and sometimes the tach does not work. The local ford dealer said I woul have to have a new dash to fix these problems. Has anyone seen this problem or have a possible fix for it?

The dash is fairly easy to take apart if your handy. I would take it apart and make sure your connections are good. Check the bulbs and replace burnouts. Dash bulbs are a dealer item, but not expensive. The Tach could get indepth, do the connections check first, if all is good. You may need a new Tach unit ...it may be easier and definately cheaper to go to a yard and pick one up.

...ok, so I would check with the yards first, just to see what they have and at what price. Then check the classifieds here on site, maybe even put in a want ad. In the meantime check with a local auto electronics repair shop and ask them what may be a viable option to getting it fixed. There may be a Ford dash rebuild service out there, like the ones for my Vette, its all LCD.
