Just purchased a 2005 Lariat Supercrew. The dealer did not have a manual. As an alternative, he gave me a 2004 F-150 Heritage manual. It does not cover everything. What is the exact manual that I need to cover all the info for my vehicle, so that I may locate one off of ebay? TIA..Jim
How about downloading one for free? Go here: www.fleet.ford.com. Click on Maintenance in the menu and then on Owner Manuals. You should use Internet Explorer 5.5 or above for this site to work right. You can download all the manuals for your truck there. You will need Adobe Acrobat reader to view them. Enjoy!
I couldnt get the above link to work. So google 'Ford owners manual' and click the first non sponsored link. It is a www.fleet.ford.com/maint..... address. Go from there. The heritage one you got it for the previous body style.
How about repair manuals. I have used Chiltons before and was satisfied but wondering if any one had one the liked better. I do like the chiltons because of the pictures. Any suggestions would be appreciated
I'm a HUGE fan of the Factory Manuals. In my opinion, the Chilton and others are just abbreviated versions of the Factory Manual and don't necessarily give you all the information you need to do the job properly. Things like what specialty tools you need to do the job, etc...
They cost a bit more, but with what you will save on doing the work yourself, they are well worth the investment.
You can get them from Helmec as well, I think I paid around $200 US for mine.
