I am ready to replace my fuel filter/s. Been searching for a while and have determined that the racor filters are what I need to be lookin for.
Question is?
Is the general consensus that everyone usually replaces both primary and secondary filters at the same time? Or just the secondary.
Any help is much appreciated.
Luke
Both get changed at the same time always.. When you buy the filters they come with 2 filters, Primary and Secondary.. Changing just one would be hazardous..
Try to find an International Truck Dealer nearby and get them there.. Moto wants damn near $80 for them down here in Austin.. I get em for $30 at International in Austin..
No problem.. Yes FYI our trucks use Racor only.. For Oil stick with Fram, Motorcraft or International.. Fuel stick with strickly International or Motorcraft.. I don't know of any aftermarket Fuel Filters for our trucks that I would be safe running..
You can tell a knockoff filter merely by it's adapter piece that clips on the top of the Filter.. PureOne's are like that.. They will destroy the engine, oil pump, etc..
