Airfilter question

I know many here seem to love the 6637 filter, for it's immense size and filtration services as well as price, but has anyone used this filter with any results?

Cheers!

I don't think you can use it because the end of the element is open. This is the "other" filter a lot of people on here like.

I found the link not to work Orezona, and yeah I guess that the open end would be an issue. But what of the brand/style if they make a direct fit part?

That link worked for me, and it's the best price I've seen on the Severe duty filter.

does the AIS allow any more air in then the stock 7.3L air box? i know iv read plenty on the fact that it does filter better, but its still in a box, seems it has the same restrictions? but with out cutting into the box for the fender sleave, will it pass more air? i do have the 6637 filter right now, just not installed yet. been reading good and bad for that, so iv been hesittent to install it.

Im not sure, but I thought that thread was about conical filters not the 6637, I might be wrong? I like my 6637l, We go to Motocross tracks alot, lots of dust and my inlet has ALWAYS been clean!

I know this is off-topic but I have been running a Pro-Guard7 filter for about 1 year and no problems, not even the slightest amount of dust in the intake tube. Also my silica levels on my Blackstone oil service came up great with just a 5 for the silica number. Use what ever filter you want but make sure its high quality.
