Im trying to take my ash tray out to drill two holes on the top of it, problem is that I took the two screws out and the tray still wont come out.
What is holding it in still??
I have a 2005 SD XLT.
Thanks ~Gage~
I assume you are talking about the small ashtray in between the two cupholders on the dash? If so there are more screws inside the dash that hold it in place. Check out the cupholder install gallery in my galleries. It is from a 99 but the procedure is similar. Instead of removing the ashtray below the cupholders you would have to remove the goofy little hook plate.
Remove the trashbag hook (or whatever kind of hook it is) below the cup holder. Through that opening, straight up towards top of dash direction are 2 more screws going vertically. Remove them and that should do it. I have an 06.
