Is it the stock in dash oil gauge that keeps moving? If so I wouldn't worry about it. Put a real oil pressure gauge on it if you want real oil pressure numbers. I have an auto meter mechanical oil pressure gauge in my 82 F100.

Do you have a Voltmeter or Ammeter in your gauge cluster? If you do, watch it and see if the voltage is going up-and-down with the oil pressure. If your voltage regulator(which may be built into the alternator) is letting the voltage fluctuate it can cause the electric gauges to do the same. If you dont have a voltmeter or battery gauge you could hook up a test meter temporarily to check it out. Bob

Replace your oil pressure guage sending unit. Mine cost $14 a couple of weeks ago. Even though I know it's not a guage as much as an idiot light, seeing it dip way low made me nervous. It's located in the same area as the oil filter.

You might want to check out the voltage regulator for the insturment panel. When they start to fail, the gauges can go wonky.

I can attest to the voltage regulators going bad - my '76 has that problem now. I just installed an aftermarket mechanical oil gauge and I'm very pleased. Cheap, and took only about an hour to install.

IIRC,it is on the instrument panel. In any case,it is under the dash.Check in your Hanes or other manual. It is also known as an IVR.Hopefully, someone more familiar with this item will chime in with a better description of location.Or,as a last resort, consult your local Frod store.
Also,be sure to check ALL panel grounds. They will also cause silliness with the guages.

take off the dash face and plastic clear cover and pull out the gauge use a tiny screw driver and bend the contacts in the dash if they are a bit loose touching the gauge it will do that ,i got tired of hitting the dash when the needle went down

IP Grounds

Changed out VR and heat quage is malfunctioning, thinking could be Instrument Panel ground(s). Can someone tell me how/where the grounds function and/or are located?

Real gauge is the way to go because you get numbers. Check mine out in my gallery. Easy install too.
