Well it's been a year and so far (knock wood) the soda can shim has done the trick. The AC has been fine and throwing cold since so hoping for the best.

I'm experiancing the same problem. I'm going out to measure when it cools off a bit.

Well I took out the factory washer, installed two aluminum can shims and she's working PERFECT!!!!!! Thanks fellas!

Congrats that's great news.........used my PSD yesterday towing race car from NJ to MD and back in brutual weather and AC on for 300 mile round trip and it worked fine.

The soda can seems to be the right thickness, hey whatever works right.....lol.

Yep, a soda can and some percision hole punches and a 7.3 owner can accomplish anything!
