48 F2 CPP disc brake kit question

I got the Cpp disic brake kit with the master cylinder under the cab. I was thinking it was going to be a simple bolt in, no such luck. Can somebody who has used this kit help me out.

I just received this kit myself, what issues are you having? I already had to call CPP for missing hardware on mine after trying to test fit the caliper brackets and realizing I was missing 4 of the 6 spacers. I did call and they said they would ship out 6 more right away, so that was a good thing.

I had a few problems first the bearing spacer went on really hard then the bearings wouldn't fit. but the master cylinder was the big one [under the cab] on there tech site it said to remove the old mounting bracket, which I did. Then I realized, the bracket to mount the brake pedal assembly, the holes didn't even come close to lineing up. CPP told me thats common and every body just redrills the holes trouble is there's not enough bracket to redrill a new hole. So I'm sending it back and getting a fire wall mounting one. I was going to post a question on what size master cylinder would work best for perfomace and, or fit wise I think it was a 8" or a 10" model

I know exactly what you mean. As far as the bearing adapter, it's very easy. If you have a gas torch, you simply heat the adapter up until it starts turning color (bluish) then grab the adapter with a pair of channel locks and slip it over the spindle. It will slide all the way up to the end. Just hold it there until it cools. Make sure that adapter is on all the way, or your bearings and disc won't line up correctly. As for the MS, I opted for the firewall one and made my life a whole easier. I used a MS from a GM Corvette which can used with four wheel discs. BTW- the guys at CPP are extremely helpful, and have helped me out on several occasions. Fast shipping too.
