The banks trans comand is a module (mounted down by the tranny) that increases line preasure to aid when towing. It does increase the firmnes of shifts also, to remove it, there is 2 ways, have the test plug that has a jumper in it that connets to the plug when you unplug the module. The other way is to have the schematic to put the wires that have been moved in the original tranny plug back in there stock position. You can call banks and they should be able to help you, they might have it online!
Hope this helps.
The reason I know, I have one!

So pretty much unplug it and remove it. There is no cutting to install it, is there?? Just plug and play..??
thanks,
Steven
It is just wiring and splicing and I recall once I thought about one and the wiring schematic was online in .pdf but darn hard to figure out how to find it.
I looked to see if I might have saved it but I dont still have the file.
But to answer your question no, there's nothing that gets cut or drilled and tapped. IIRC, there's a heat shield mentioned in there that if you have it, you had to undo a couple of bolts to that for full access to the little unit.
You have to put the yellow and the brown wire back into the correct plug on your stock plug. You will need to call banks and get a schematic. Ive taken mine out and put it back in.
Nice Dad. I tried to give you some more rep points for that but I have to "spread them around some more" before I can give you more, so maybe someone else will oblige.
