Tach not working
Well I've finnaly got my truck running well. Now on to fix other things like my tachometer. It’s not working and I don’t know why. How do I diagnose where the problem is?

You'll have to trace the wiring from the ignition coil and maybe the TFI module. I know on most standard ignitions, the tach is ususally connected to the coil negative terminal (I believe it's the green and whatever color striped wire). If you have continuity from there to the instrument cluster and you have a known good aftermarket tach (or better yet, a tach/dwell meter) to temporarily connect via alligator clips and the aftermarket tach (tach/dwell meter) works properly, you'll have to go and find one in a junkyard to pull.
