I recently put on a new high-flow cat, and a cat-back exhaust.
When I removed the HUGE stock exhaust system, I found a orange hose leading off the exhaust sytem to the front of the engine (smog junk I assume) was trashed. I've searched the local shops and junk heaps with no luck.
I'm assuming this is a high temp hose. Again, the old hose is orange, with "ford" stamped on it.
Anybody know of any sources for such a hose?
Thanks in advance,
Eric

You have me, I have the same set up as you 89 250 ex cab 460 efi c6, but I dont have
an orange hose, I however do have a steel one welded to the cat which goes to the
air pump, do you have a fitting on yours to weld. maybe it wasnt attached but just
hanging there. just seems wierd rubber you would think would melt?
It is high temp silicone hose very expensive. I found one muffler shop that had it and thats all I ever found the parts store will not get any in because they have to buy several feet and they price this stuff by the inch.
Found some today at a NAPA about 1.5 hours from my house. $30 for a foot of it. YIKES. Turns out my local NAPA could have gotten it. Their in for an ear-full the next time I go there (if I ever do).
