I wouldn't do the Ball Bearing turbo unless you were still unhappy with how the .84 spooled, which is hard to believe. The Up pipes are worth the money, if yours are leaking. Plus there is a little performance difference to getting the ceramic coating. Yep they bolt right up to the manifold.
I just installed Big Oil and a Turbonetics drop in replacement from Black Widow Diesel. It really spools quick and is a great combo.
There are many choices when it comes to turbos, make sure you don't get one that is too big. If you do it was lag really bad, they need fuel to light them up.
I chose the Turbonetics unit since it can handle slightly larger injectors and they make a 1.0 A/R housing instead of the .84 that I have now. They have the best warranty too..
