i saw an f250 for sale. Its a small tow truck type. I looked under the hood hopping it had a 460. It looked kind of small, i would think it would have the big block but not sure. Anyone know if those come standard with a 460?
If its a small block, can i put it into my truck with a big block? Will the motormounts and all drive line ect all transfor over to my truck without welding needs and all that ****? Basically can it be done in my back yard?
An 80-86 F-250 could have either a 351m, 400, 300-6, 302, 351w, 460 or a 6.9 diesel. Nailing down the year will help determine what engine it has. Either that or get the VIN and post it here and someone could decifer it for you.
looks like u need a better answer than that my 1980f250 had a 302 im tryin to fit a bigblock 429 in it woops the c6 from the small block doesnt fit the big block that was my bad now my truck waits with no engine in my drive way but not for too long. measure the top of the bell housing if u can i forget the measure but i can find out that measurement can mean the diffrence of a perfect fit or a new trans.
