Question about Turbo for Ford Techs
I just had my Turbo replaced under warranty at 19,000 Miles (05) Have they done anything to improves the vain sticking problems on the remans they are installing? Thanks in advance. Steve

05 with 19k miles, you are not driving enough. rust will build up in the turbo and you will be looking to have your turbo replaced again. im not saying tomorow but it will happen. i have not seen the first turbo sticking for coking issues, it has always been rust problems.

I took a few months off from work so truck was not used much. But I just started working again so I don't think I'll have a rust issue again. Thanks for your responces and the great job you guys do in the forums.

Fog for rust
I know we talked about engine fogging for storage. Does anybody think spraying some fog into the turbo during idle may coat it enough to fend off rust for low mileage units? Some crafty smart guy like Matt should sell a stainless turbo that won't rust. Even if it drinks salt water driving on the beaches of the pacific.
