as a another side to steering issues I also had a further issue with my 67 f100. After finding the loose fitment of the taper of the tie rod to Pitman arm on my truck it still had a vague feeling of trying to fall off the road. I looked at the rear end of the truck. I noticed the right rear spring hanger had a downhill run instead of being level. I replaced the bushing which only cost $7. The original bushing had only 1/3 of the metal inside bushing and 1/3 of the rubber part of the bushing left inside. Needless to say but the test ride was a very good feeling of tracking correctly. As they say sometimes its the small things that matter most.
