As has been recently requested....here's an update.
Yup.
I did it.
I moved into the girlfriends' place.
We got most of the furniture moved on Saturday last, and spend Sunday cleaning out my place. (And no, it wasn't nearly the chore that it was at Christmas time...hooboy...)
Now the challenge is setting up housekeeping in the um... "apartment" that I now share with two women.
We did manage last night to get the bedroom set up...updated, rearranged, whatever the word is...and the kitchen as well. We've got a few details to work out yet, but hopefully we can get the living room sorted out before the weekend hits...right now, you can kinda see the carpet in some places, but it's mostly full of um.... "stuff"
All is well, and no, we didn't kill eachother. (Yet.

Yeah, so far, she's being nice. We've had a bit of frustration over the last few days trying to put a living room together. It's been ugly. You know how you make a floorplan in your head as to where furniture goes in a given room? Yeah. We did that.
When the first plan didn't work, we make another one.
When the second one didn't work, we make a third.
Third try was a charm, and after playing multiple furniture again last night, we've got all of the pieces that we want in the living room placed where they're gonna stay. At least for the foreseeable future.
We were both so glad that SOME plan finally worked, that we stayed up WAY too late last night celebrating....
Not only am I exhausted, but my neck looks like I was attacked by a vampire bat. (Is 34 too old for hickies?) I can only imagine the grief that I'm gonna get today...
(Oh yeah...Hey Todd, you DO remember what a hicky is, right?)

You guys do realize that Pinks is gonna be at KCIR this weekend don't you? Whos gonna go watch everyone kill the tires on the greasy track? Congrats on the big step Terry! So when are we all gonna meet up at Hooters again?

I'm heading to the KS meet on the 19th of August, and trying to drum up interest in our statewide meet in September...you think that you're gonna make it?

Pinks is the show on Speed Channel that lets 2 guys race for the pink slips. Don't know that far ahead....hard to plan anything when my wife's work schedule changes every week and I have the little munchkin to worry about.
