Definitely a brake issue if it doesn't pull without the brakes. A caliper is grabbing or your rotors need turned. I always thought you could feel a rotor when it needed turning.....till I got this truck. Mine needed it and my symptom was a vibration when braking at highway speeds...no other signs.
There was also a thread about the caliper getting cocked and causing the pads to wear unevenly but that was a rare issue. I'd have the rotors turned and when they pull them you can see if the pads look straight or not.
As long as the whole steering & susp. system doesn,t have any parts that have slack in them.....it's a brake issue. 2 years back I had the same thing....of course I thought the opposite side was,nt doing it's job so I started replacing calipers and hoses......no luck......then the rotors.....no luck.......it ended up being the pads themselves ! I took the pads and swapped them side to side..the pull went away until the brakes got up to temperature...so I knew it had something to do with the pads ! I went to Advance and got a set of name brand OEM quality pads to replace the A-Z pads that looked less then 1/4 worn and as of today.....2years later....no more brake pull !
