Engine Stalls
Hey all
Have done a search and haven't really found anything. The problem I am haveing is in my 04 SCREW 5.4 The engine has a miss in it at idle and some times the truck will not idle at all and just dies. Any ideas on what do look at.
The check engine light does not come on at all.

Not being pessimistic, but it could be fifty different things. Maybe it needs a tune. Maybe it needs the pcm re-flashed. Bad gas, etc, etc, etc.
Find a good competent mechanic to scope it out. Or there are units for sale that will, when hooked up, give you trouble codes. But you have to be able to read the codes.
Best bet, is a good mechanic. Dealers can figure this out also, but I have found them to be cost prohibitave. But then again, mechanics these days like being rich also!
Oh dealers do have mechanics working for them, but their service writers are morons!
