transmission vss

can anyone tell me where the transmission vss is, and how to test it? thanks.

I don't think these trucks have the VSS in the tranny, but I don't know for sure... I do know for sure, however, the rear axle has VSS... takes 2 seconds to change out...

There is no transmission VSS. VSS means Vehicle Speed Sensor, and on most trucks it is on the rear axle.

Some transmissions have speed sensors, Turbine Speed Sensor (TSS), Intermediate Speed Sensor (ISS), and Output Speed Sensor (OSS.)

yea ...its on top of the rear diff.
