Differences in 75-79, vs 80-89 steering gear boxes???s

Differences in 75-79, vs 80-89 steering gear boxes. power steering pumps, etc. ???
I am using a 89 E-150, frame, with a 78 E-150, 351 Windsor drive train.
So I have to use a v-belt power steering pump, but don’t know which steering gearbox to use.
While any steering gear box can be used with any pump, by using custom hydraulic hoses,
what it the best combination?
Many Thanks
David

The one already on the frame.

Reason being is many ps boxes use countersunk

unique bolts (never took an E-series out though) and to replicate that with a new plate and such and weld the plate to the frame is a major undertaking. PLUS, you will find much better support for the 89 for steering and front end stuff then the 1978.
