My son works on my sd350, its his hobby, well he put in a wix fuel filter and found that he needed to buy a seperate cap for it, the cheaper filter had the cap connected to it.
He called the stealership, name I won't mention because they are a sponser and from the last War with naming names, it ain't worth it, well anyway, they wanted $45 smack a roos for the cap, just the cap.
Well he looked in here and found IH or International Harvester, the maker of the 7.3, one could buy one for bout $18 bucks. More reasonable.
My son went to the IH dealer this morning and got a better deal because his employer has a IH account, which helped even more. The bottom line is to look here first on the FTE, to price things out, we saved over half, and it's because of this forum.
My hat comes off to all of the FTE folks in here, your all a great help. Thank ya, Thank ya, Thank ya.
Great way to look at it Orezona. The $15 you spend a year to be a supporter is virtually nothing for the amount of resources and "stuff" you can find on FTE.
ok, you talked me into being a supporter, but I have to wait till I get back from vacation in FLA, I'm in the Tampa area, lots of ford superdutys here, I was in other parts of the country like Alabama, and there not very many supers there. I think the 3 year deal is the best to do!
Its now 20$ to be a supporter. Still way worth it. I also got to renew my diesel power subsciption. They didnt even send me anything renew they just stopped sending them, i was kinda pissed about that, oh well.
