Ok so you dont touch the entrance line to the factory cooler and the out line from the factory cooler where it would normally go to the tranny would go to the entrance line on the true cool and then the exit on the true cool goes to the tranny? And on the factory cooler which is the tran return line the top or bottom and on the true cool which should be the tran return passenger or drivers? Thanks for all the help in advanced
Cut the rubber hose on the return line and splice into there for the Tru-Cool. The return line is the line that enters the rear of the trans.
I did it that way and instantly saw temps that are 40* lower than without the Truc-Cool. If you want pics of the installation just give me a holler and I will get them for you.
I checked it immediately after and it still show full to the hot line.
I think that I over filled last time I replaced the filter by as much as half a quart. I will check again later when it is totally cool and on flat ground as my driveway is a bit of a hill.
I just installed mine today - Hooked up like scott said (Thanks Scott) and it works great. I added a little under a quart of fluid and Bob @ diesel site said it would add app. 1 qt. to fill. Cant wait to tow next weekend and see how much lower temps. are.
