Hey guys, I am new here and found the directions for the lower ball joints very helpful. I do have another issue though. I have a 97 expedition and the pitman arm needs replacing. I went ahead and got the nut off the arm, that 1-5/16" one that was really fun to play with. But the pitman arm puller fits no way no how on the part to remove it from the truck. And I am also having trouble popping the other end out of the bar that the idler arm also attaches to. Please help me with any advice, oh and I don't have a torch so that won't work. Thanks in advance.
Don't need a torch, you need a die grinder. Cut the pitman arm almost all the way through, and put a chisel in the cut. Apply hammer to chisel. Pitman arm falls toward earth. I would try a pickle fork to remove it from the drag link.
