I just found this site and there is a lot of good info here, so I think I'll hang around a while. I'm building up a CJ7 and been hanging out at a Jeep forum for the last year or so. I'm installing a 302 in it now, so I'm almost ready to start on my 69 ranger. This is the third one for me. I had a 67, 72, and now a 69. When this one is built, I willl keep it. Just wanted to jump in and say HI!
I'm sorry to say, but its just been in the back yard for the last two years collecting junk and wasps. It has a fresh 302 and (I think) a C4. Whatever it is it should last until I get something better. Long term I'd like to get the whole drive line from a late model. It has light rust in the usual places, but overall its solid. I will keep the classic lines, but modify just enough to keep people guessing what I did. Clean.
ranger69f1 - From the hills o' East Tennessee, welcome aboard. Looks like a worthwhile project and in fair shape to boot. Progressive pic's needed. Keep da wheels turnin' an' on da down side.
Dan, you recall that 70 CS I posted for sale many months ago, it will have to go by by sometime in the future, i'll part it out if I must, I want to sell the clean running 360, keep the C-6, disc brakes, drive line and rearend.
Carl, that sounds like a good entry for the No. Cal. chapter's Buy/Sell thread, not to mention FTE's classifieds. I think more of us in the No. Cal. chapter have bumpsides than any other type of Ford truck...
