SUPERCHARGER Question.
Just a quick question. Anyone ever put a supercharger on a 351w (Bronco) Vortec or powerdyne? I'm looking at the powerdyne with some minor engine work ( little porting, larger cam and forged pistons for strength). Anyone have some good results to share? I am looking to get around 400Hp. Am I out of the ballpark?

No, but I'm in the process of installing a Weiand blower
in a 77 Vette. Get the "Street Supercharging" book from SA DESIGN
part# SA17 It will answer a whole bunch of questions your going to have and covers all supercharger/blower designs as well as necessary engine/carb modifications. You can get the book from Summit or Jegs for around $15.

You will not need forged pistons unless you intend on going over
6-7 lbs of boost. The KB hypereutectic pistons are good for up to 10 lbs boost and 6,500 RPM ($100-150 cheaper than forged), if your going above that then you'll need the forged pistons plus ALOT of other engine mods. You will need a "blower" cam ground if your going to look for 400+ H.P. I'm just guessing, but with your stock cam you will probably be in the 360-375 HP range.
