A/C flow redirects when switch to 4X4
I have an 04 PSD FX4 with 87K miles. I recently turned my 4X4 switch on while the A/C vents were blowing and the vents automatically switch to the defrost mode. No matter what setting I switch the A/C selector the fan would keep blowing through the top vent. This happened for approx 30 to 45 seconds and then would go back to the selected setting.
I'm assuming the 4X4 selector switch runs on vacuum. Is is possible the transfer to 4x4 is causing the blower dampers to loose their vacuum and going to a default setting?

Got my truck back from the dealer. The problem I had with the air vents switching to defrost when I switched to 4x4 was caused by a bad 4x4 control solenoid, so they tell me. $186 total, the part number is 7C3Z-9H465-A
