I can't find a blowup online. Surely your parts deptment will help. I'm pretty sure you're gonna need the bolts (TORX) for the center section, left side of the driver's seat & right side passenger seat. But then again...how does the XL bench seat bolt in? Just on the outsides?
Do you think a ford parts dept will help me order the necessary bolts and bushings to install?
If they want your business they will! Alternatively you can contact one of the FTE sponsors like www.directfordparts.com or www.discountfordpartsaty2kford.com They should be more than happy to look up the diagram and get you the part #'s ordered.
All the bolt holes are there in the cab floor. They are plugged with plastic plugs so I should just be able to take them out and use them.
The bench is bolted on 4 corners and there are a few other bolts on the bottom. Being an XL I don't have to worry about the carpet and all that I'm hoping to just bolt the seat in.
I need to buy a torq bit of the right size if I can find it too. My ford repair CD has a drawing of the seat components and what torque values to tighten the bolts, but no part listings.
It looks like the seats have a rubber grommet in the back bolt holes.
I'll check around on the sponsors websites, thanks.
I've never noticed any rubber grommets on any of the bolts in my 99 or 07. I've only had super and crew cabs though. I took the seats out of my super cab many times (I had the 40/20/40 split bench). There were 4 Torx head bolts up front and 5 studs with nuts in the back. The center seat goes in first and uses the center two bolt holes up front. It shares one of the rear studs, with the passenger seat I believe, and the drivers side has its own stud (going from memory I might have that reversed). The other two seats can then be sat in place and the bolts/nuts installed. The nuts were covered with plastic covers that I threw away since half of them broke the first time I pulled them off. I will run out to my truck later and find out what size torx and deep well socket I used.
Should be a T55, and an 18mm deepwell if they are using studs/nuts for the rear. Looks like they switched to 18mm all the way around in my 07 (studs in back, bolts up front).
Thanks for the info again. I'll be on the look out for a T-55.
It looks like the seats came out of a truck that had an air bag deployment on the drivers side. The seat belt pretensioner went off, so I need to replace it.
According the the Ford service manual, I should also replace the buckles, belts etc.
Got a couple of quotes and two nice parts diagram from the local Ford dealership.
I had to drive by rows of brand new shiny Super Duties tho...
Bolts are about $10 each, seat belt assembly $85 (the whole buckle and pyrotechnic device that goes off when the air bag goes off).
I need to see what I can reuse from the current set up. The diagram had studs for the back holes, with nut and washer $3 each.
Now I just gotta find a T-55. I may have one, as I bought a bigger Torx set from Sears a while ago when doing some brakes.
EDIT: Looks like a significant savings thru the web site sponsors! Thanks!!!!!

What exaclty are you talking about with the seatbelts. I have neve heard of this before. I know my seatbelts lock whenever I hit the brakes hard, but I have never noticed any wiring going to them that may cause them to lock permanently. Is this something that is different in the belts that are built into the seats?
