fuel pump question

I have a 1989 F-150 4x4 that had a stock 302. I am putting a 351W in it and am converting to carbureted instead of fuel injection. It has dual tanks and i want to be able to use both of them. I am looking for a in-tank fuel pump or or a fuel pick-up for the tanks. Does anyone know where i can find either one of these? How does the fuel tank selector work? If anyone has any info please let me know. Any info is greatly appreciated!
Thanks, Curtis

I am currently doing a similar swap. If you have finished, please let me know of anything special. Also, someone told me that you must remove your in-tank fuel pump. Then you must replace it with a pice of hose. I also heard you must by-pass the frame mounted pump.

fuel pump question

I found a fuel pump on ebay that replaces your old stock pump and will work for carbureted engines. it fits in the tank and you should still be able to use both tanks with the selector. I havent tried it yet but i will let you know if it works. also if you go to a ford dealership they have them for around 150.00.

The pump selected should put out about 5 - 7 psi to the carb. Pumps used for fuel injection put out 45 psi which is way too high for a carb. Don't know about duel tanks, however, taking out the in-tank pump assembly and just removing the pump and fabricating in a pickup tube with a filter boot and than just running steel fuel line directly to an engine-driven diaphram pump should work. Same arrangement (twice) for duel tanks with a selector valve might be a possibility.
