DRW Differential Oil

I have read the posts from several months ago and there seems to be two answers for the lube weight on the F350 with duals. One calls for the 75/90 and another said to go with the 75/140. I changed mine last weekend putting in the only Royal Purple the local Napa store had in stock which was the 75/90 WT. It nearly immediatly helped with the shudder of my limited slip differential but going down the road it seemed a little more noisy. Today I was looking for the 6637 filter and found a local supplier with a Baldwin filter that cross/referanced to the 6637. I asked about Royal Purple gear oil there and he has the 75W140 Max Gear oil. I bought another four quart of that thinking I will change to that and put the recently new RP in my old Jeep that needs the differential fluid changed. Do you think I'm crazy or will it quiet down the rear end???

thanks
Rod

I just changed my rearend oil. You should use 75/140 for the rear. Ford changed the oil for the frontend to 75/140 also, instead of 75/90.

EDIT: Don't forget the additive for limited slip.
