Those side dump exhausts with any type of agressive muffler will get old real fast after a long highway trip. Tust me as the ears would tend to ring even with Edelbrock's RPM series mufflers.

its been 20 plus years but i had a 360 in a 74 short bed. it was rebuilt stock except for the cam. i used a crane cam, not exactly sure of the specs but duration was around 280 and lift was around 512. with a stock intake a holley 600 and a set of headers with a 350 gear i ran high 14's in the quarter. had no problem with the cam being that big. no head workdone at all except for the normal valvejob.
