OBD Code U1009 What the heck?
I'm just done getting the codes out of my 99 F350 V10. Pulled a bunch of codes out after the front driveshaft ate the wiring harness. All but one I can trace, but the code U1009 has me baffled. Has anyone run into this one before, or know what the trigger is for it? According to the code reader it means "Engine Torque Data Missing/Invalid".

I think it depends on the scan tool you are using. I wrote it out word for word. There are various different descriptions for the code that I've found. The scan tool I used has Ford specific programming. I would love to know what triggers it though. If a sensor fails, then one can deduct stuff from the description. None of the things that I've read though indicate a specific fault. At least I've never seen a torque sensor, or for that matter torque circuit in a vehicle. PCM?
