I want to change the tranny fluid 20 years many diff brands in there i dont trust it it any longer, need to know what to expect and what iam gonna need if i pop the bolts and start to drain. I think there is a small screen could be wrong.
thnx in advanced Matt
Some would say that if it has been too long, it's best to let sleeping dogs lie. The reason is that new fluid could loosen old deposits on the valves and seals. Those deposits either float through the tranny wreaking havoc or they were part of the seal of a particular valve or other part, and so there would not be tight-fitting parts any more and the tranny may not work.

Has anyone tried it, does it work some what of the way the one for the engine works.
