Happy Days

My dad and i finally got or 03' 6.0 to stop smoking white clouds. We thought it was the injectors so we replaced the drivers side ones with new o-rings. We started it up and it still smoked put when we were looking at it we saw oil dripping from the muffler. So we drilled 2 holes in the muffler and it blew all kinds of oil and diesel stuff out. We took the exhaust off at the down pipe and there was no smoke at all and it sounded sweeeeeet, New exhaust maybe. So we drove it aournd our neighbor hood for 30 minutes and it finally all cleared up. So were happy campers now if we can just get the abs light on the dash to go off, any ideas?

Thanks

Curious as to why the muffler was full of oil. The speed sensor is located on the rear axle, once you fix that....just guessing the ABS light might go off. One of our techs might drop by and give you a correct answer.

It is on the differential, right? The engine that was in it was apparently scrubbed out. They had it on a job site and didn't change the filter and scrubbed 2 cylinders. So i am guessing it wasn't igniting in two cylinders and was pumping oil and diesel out through the exhaust. Anyways how much would it cost to replace the speed sensor because i looked at it and it seemed all intact.

Thanks for the help

The speed sensor is in the differential housing I think and it is a fairly common thing (or used to be) to go out. They are really cheap--probably under 50 bucks.
