This came off of the Full size bronco forums, but I was wondering if you guys thought it would be worth it.
I currently have a 352 block (bored to 390) with a manual tranny, so I know I'd need to find a bellhousing.
What else? and do you know where I could find the bellhousing?
I just want to publicly thank Garbz hooking me up with a C6 for my 65. I've been looking here and there for a while and was having a difficult time finding one at a reasonable price.
I spent this past Saturday at his shop "helping" (he may not consider it help ) him pull the front end off his 63 so we could get the engine/tranny out. So I ended up getting the C6, flexplate, torque converter, linkage, driveshaft, and lots of good info. It definately makes the work easier with the access to all the tools and large shop to facilitate the easy cleanup of the tranny fluid. I am so jealous of having a shop with ALL the cool toys and projects to drool over, but now I'm wanting one of those T-Bucket roadsters for work on.
Now I just need to talk the wife into one of those Dakota front ends.
Again, thanks garbz, it was good to meet one of the FTE guys and good luck on 63.
Thanks to FTE and Ken for the great website.
As the build goes on i will do a tech article for FTE on the Dakota install in a 61 to 64 straight axle. Same basic deal applies to 48 through 79 fords.
It kinda sucks having to come to work with all these toys and tools...LOL
