I am in search of a little advice. My 07 Expedition has a brake problem. At 1500 miles I noticed that on abrupt stops it pulled to the left badly. I took it in and the replaced the front pads and turned the rotors. This did not cure the problem. I talked to the dealer and he said the tested it after the pads were installed and it was fine. I took it to another dealer and they test drove the truck, found it did pull and did the same thing, install new front pads and turn the rotors. I explained that another dealer did this and it did not help.
When I picked up the truck within the first ten minutes I noticed it was doing the exact same thing. 50mph + stops would cause the truck to pull as much as a whole lane of traffic left-not good. Took it back, they had their mechanic drive it for 10 miles and could not get it to do it. I demanded I drive with the service manager and we went for a drive. The truck pulled on 4 out of 5 abrupt brakings. He agreed there is a problem and it maybe the rear brakes they will look at it.
I get a call 4 hours later saying they had their foreman mechanic drive it and they can't get it to pull. I don't know what to do. I have a 07 truck I can't drive. Does anyone have an idea on how I can deal with the dealer so I can get my truck fixed? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
I never trust the dealers but ohwell its just me. First thing that comes to mind is a full brake bleed. Start from pass rear work to drive rear then to pas front the drive front. Other things that cause can be alignment, shocks, balance (pipe dream). Also check the driver side calipers. You should have 4 wheel disk brakes. Make sure you bleed then good so there is no doubt in your mind that all things are flowing good. Hope this helps
