So, yesterday afternoon we had a typical Florida summer rainstorm, about 4 inches of rain in 45 minutes. Unfortunately, yours truly had to drive through this. And, of course, my truck started running rough. Took it down to Autozone the next day, and got the following codes:
Now, about a week ago, I got the P0171 and P0174 codes, and had them cleared, to see if it came back. Any idea what could be causing the cylinder misfires? Could it be related to the 171 and 174 codes? Could an O2 sensor really mess things up this bad?
If you try to search P0171 & P0174, many members posted issues with PCV elbow leak giving those codes. Personally never had that problem, so what I know is what you can find if you search the forum.
Misfires could be wet COPS.
I would bet it's the wet COPS. I has the same problem after some heavy rain once. They had to replace two of them and it's not cheap. You can find instructions in other posts but I chickened out and took it to the dealer.
