Windshield wipers
I needed new wipers on my truck - an '06 F350 SD. Since I'm tall at 6'4" I therefore sit fairly high in the captains buckets. The old wipers were 20" and the top of their arc was right in the middle of my top vison space so I decided to try some longer ones and bought 22". After looking at their pass through the accumulated dirt, probably could have even gone to 24" and will try them next time. It makes me wonder what Ford was thinking - is it penny wise, pound (dollar?) foolish economics? Even at Wally World the 20, 22 and 24" are the same price @$4.47 each and a large vehicle manufacturer for sure could pass on a wiper suppliers few cents worth of difference in cost.

Replacing the 20 inch wipers with 24 inch wipers is a common modification.
