79-4x4 steer box??
.I have a 78 4x4 f150 custom 351m-auto c6.I bascially have rebuilt the entire drive train(while thats another topic).But anyways l took the truck for its 1st test drive in the woods sense all the hard work we have put in it the last 3mths.And i tell you what that was one hell of truck in the woods i was 1-proud owner today,i would love more than anything if Ford built trucks like they use to.My 07 sup-crew 4x4 lartiat,would did what half of this truck did.
The real question-is i put the truck in deep mud tight real tight turning spots truck did great.Also put the 4x4 to a test,by climbing a few hills that i shouldnt even tried but the truck handle it with not even spinning a tire..()i to show a few jeep people that this old truck would just has tough has them)
question::I have a 650cfm edlebrook carb-it does great with the truck but i noticed climbing and going down hills (hills that were about 75-125 yards long,and putting the truck at about or more or less than 45 degrees) the carb overloads,and just about overloads the carb bad any help with that?
Another question a buddy of my fathers gave me a extra steering box and the guy said it was fine:is there any way to check a steering box to make sure its good before install,anyways just tring to get some info on it,would like to get any info on rebuild-maint-and check for good and bad steering box i can get?
