Flaky Tac Operation
Does anyone know what will cause the tac to go from a normal rpm reading and then jump to 4000 rpm. It goes back and forth on a regular basis about every 15 seconds or so? It is almost like something is switching on and off.
This is on a 1991 f150 lariat with a 5.0 and 4speed tranny I just picked up. The paint sucks but, the body is fairly good. needs some work. I plan on using to haul my camper as my 1988 f150 is slowly rotting away. I just don't trust the box on it anymore.
