New Tires
While rotating the tires on my 96' extended 4.0, I noticed the tread on the rear passenger side tire was beginning to shred and detact from the inner tire. Anyone had that happen?
Any recommeds on new tires? (Brand, model?)

I have 125k on my 96 aero, and I've had a few different brands on.
The original Michelins were OK. When they got close to worn out, I put a set of -- ugh -- Douglas tires from Walmart on. Big mistake, but they were cheap and I needed tires on it that day.
I went back to the original style Michelins, since I got a good deal on a new set, and drove them for a while. Then I wanted to go to 15 inch wheels, to go just a bit wider for a little extra stability, and I put a set of Cooper Trendsetters on. They are acceptable, but tread life is not so good, and I don't think they are as smooth as they could be. I'm not impressed with Cooper tires.
I'm considering a set of Kumho tires from TireRack next. So far, the OEM Michelins have been the smoothest, but only so-so in the snow.
