There is a hydraulic switch on my master cylinder, and when I plug it in it blows my fuse to the cruise control/brake lights and the ABS light on the dash blinks. It's a 95 F150 4.9 M5OD 2wd. Any ford techs out there?
I would guess that you have a short in the master cylinder sensor, causing the fuse to blow. The reason your RABS lighr flashes is probably because it needs a signal from the stop lights and with the blown fuse it is not getting this. I assume the fuse blows as soon as you turn the ign. on and before you hit the brake pedal? If it only blows after you hit the pedal then the short is in the wire to the stop lights.

I checked the switch today none of the terminals goes to ground I do have continuity between terminals when you push brake pedal. ABS light only blinks after fuse blows when I disconnect switch it stops blinking and stays off. The switch is a cruise cancel switch. I think there is a short in my cruise sys. does anyone have a wiring diagram for the cruise sys. solid state not vacuum cruise control
Yes. I took it in today they put an add on wire harness with a 6a fuse. I guess it blew as soon as he started it up to bring it around to me and never checked to see if it was working. I found a wiring diagram at alldata for $24 I'm working out the problem now on paper with what I found out today with my ohm meter should have it figured out by tomorrow. I hope
