I need some help im buying a Offenhauser 4bbl intake for my 2.8 now im going to need a smaller cfm carb. I don’t want to spend the $270 for a new 390cfm Holley one and haven’t had any luck finding one. Did ford ever make a smaller 4bbl carb that I could use? Any suggestions?
Thanks
Curtis

The old Autolite 4 BBLs of the '60s were rated at 430 and 470 CFM, are easy to work on and perform well for their size. Jets are sometimes a hard to find for those models that don't use the Holley jets.
If you can find a rebuildable one, don't hesitate to use it.
Suggest look at EBAY auctions and classifieds for Hemmings.com also look at mfg sites. I think I got info from holley site and from summitracing.com on year/model/cfm ratings on some older vehicles. I didn't keep my notes but there are many older cars with 390cfm carbs.
