Need ideas to clean plenum

Hey guys..... I want to clean out the plenum on my 89 F 1 fiddy with the 302, but I want to do it off the motor. I had the TB off her and the plenum has soooo much carbon built up in her that I want to clean her up right. Plus, I want to do it off the truck so none of the crud goes where it doesnt need to go.

Any thoughts on what would be a good product to use short of sandblasting??

any kind of parts cleaner should work. brake carb ect

Thanks for that info... I just didnt want to use anything that would do damage to the plenum.... Prolly take about a CASE of cleaner tho.... very dirty.......

no problem I seriously doubt parts cleaner is goign to harm the plenum

just did this Carb cleaner is about the only thing that will cut that carbon and grunge. After 3 cans i used then soaked it with engine cleaner. then Flushed it with the hose then blew it out. It didnt turn out to bad, not squeeky clean but i could live with it.
