Slipping in first
My 77 F150 with a C-6 slips in first gear.Once it shifts to second its good.Is it supposed to be like this.I always thought it just since first gear is geared low,but that means that at takeoff i should have chingos of torque,but i don't.The only thing I know for sure is that last month when I pulled the pan there was nothing bad at the bottom of the pan,so my clutch plates and stuff are good.Also would a leaky modulator cause this because it has a little seep on it.I ain't nowhere close to a transmission expert,so I thank yall for yalls help.
Oh yeah I am supposed to use Dexron/Merconlll trans fluid right,I never really thought about it,but useing the wrong atf could cause slipping too right.
